A doctor at every step, not just a scan
Many scan-only services send you a report full of medical terms and leave you to work out what to do. We work differently.
- The right test first. A GP assesses you before the scan, so you get the scan that answers your question. Sometimes that is an X-ray, ultrasound or blood test instead, and we will tell you.
- A specialist report. Every scan is reported by a consultant radiologist, typically within 48 hours.
- Results in plain English. Your GP goes through the report with you, rather than leaving you to read it alone.
- Next steps arranged. Physiotherapy, a specialist opinion or an NHS referral, whatever the result calls for.
CT, ultrasound and DEXA
Sometimes another scan answers the question better. Our GP arranges whichever test is right for you, with the same consultant reporting and GP follow-up.

CT scan
Fast, detailed scans of the chest, abdomen and bones, including heart calcium scoring and low-dose lung CT.

Questions people ask
Do I need a GP referral?
You don't need an NHS referral. You book a private GP consultation with us, and the GP assesses you and arranges the right scan.
How much does an MRI cost?
Single-area scans start from £400 and prices are fixed. Tell us which area you need scanned and we will give you a clear quote before you book.
How quickly can I be scanned?
Appointments are usually available within days, and the consultant report typically follows within 48 hours.
Is it the same as an NHS scan?
Yes. The same MRI technology, at accredited imaging centres, reported by consultant radiologists, without the wait.
Can I just choose the scan I want?
Your GP will listen to what you want to know and recommend the scan most likely to answer it. If MRI isn't the right test, for example if an X-ray or ultrasound would be better, we will explain why.
Will my health insurance pay?
Some policies cover private scans, but most need pre-authorisation and some require a specialist referral. Check with your insurer before booking and ask us for anything they need.
I'm claustrophobic. Can I still have a scan?
Often, yes. Tell us when you book. Depending on the area scanned you may be able to go in feet first, and the radiographer can talk to you throughout. Read what to expect.
Will my NHS GP know?
Only if you want them to. With your permission we send a summary and the report to your NHS GP.
