Home · Abdomen and pelvis MRI
Abdomen, pelvis and prostate MRI.
MRI can look in detail at the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, pelvic organs and prostate. It is usually arranged to answer a specific question after a GP assessment and, often, blood tests or an ultrasound.

Bowel symptoms
MRI is not the usual first test for bowel symptoms such as bleeding or a change in bowel habit. These are best investigated with a stool test (FIT), blood tests and, where needed, a camera test (colonoscopy). Your GP will arrange the right test for your symptoms.
